There are many ways to participate in a Koshertroops project. You can write letters, pack with us at our warehouse in Rockland County, make goody bags, create a food drive, or organize a fundraiser.

Letters can be written to the troops and sent to us at Koshertroops 8 Pleasant Ridge Rd. New Hempstead, NY 10977. All other projects must be approved. Please fill out our contact form to find out more on how your school or organization can participate in supporting the troops.

How can we get a more hands-on packing experience?

If a group wants a more hands on packing experience they can make clear goodie bags with different items, that are approved by Koshertroops, in each bag with a letter or card in the bag. The back of each card should identify your organization and include an email contact for return emails.  The goodie bags are then shipped to us via ups or someone can bring them to NY. Koshertroops will then distribute your goodie bags in our packages, reaching troops across the globe.

How do I start a food drive?

An organization/school collects one item which is discussed and approved by Koshertroops,  for example chocolate miniatures, cheese-its, honey candy, granola bars etc. They also write letters to the troops. The back of each letter should identify your organization and include an email contact for return emails.  The collected items and the letters are then shipped to us via ups or someone can bring them to NY. Koshertroops will then distribute your items and letters in our packages, reaching troops across the globe.

How can I organize a fundraiser?

An organization/school has a fundraiser and raises money along with writing letters. The money they raise will sponsor the packages and shipping. The back of each letter should identify your organization and include an email contact for return emails

Can we send something other then food?

Koshertroops focuses on items that relate to Shabbat or Jewish holidays.

Some organizations have been very creative in their ideas. One group made Havdallah kits, another group made Rosh Hashana cards explaining the simanim, another school sent dreidels with dreidel game instructions. If you come up with a creative idea we are very open to it

Can we send directly to soldiers?

For security reasons we do not give out names and addresses of service members. Additionally, each box costs $15-$50 to send. Each soldier or small group is at a different location and address. Koshertroops sends to 300+ destinations. So your best bet to reach the most service members who really need and appreciate the gifts is to send them to us so they can be distributed on a grand scale
